Whether it's writing and shooting narrative shorts, capturing the serenity of a countryside or filming, editing (and scoring!) a beautiful wedding day, I love making films. I've worked as a solo one-man-band as well as collaborated with others on projects. Below is a selection.
Gaia and Joe
This is a highlight reel of a Wedding I filmed in Kent, UK which I also wrote the music for. Congratulations to Gaia and Joe!
LEAVE THE CAVE
This is my entry to the 2017 CineSpace short film competition. Using a combination of original as well as publicly available NASA footage, I made this short documentary piece by asking friends and family about what they consider the benefits of space to humanity to be as well as what they envisage the future of space travel to be. Also featuring an original score which I wrote for this.
An entry to the London 48 Hour Film Project.. Everything you see and hear was put together in 48 hours by our team ‘bigwidepond’.
A music composer lacks inspiration for his latest assignment, which is already past due. Writer’s Block was my entry to Shortlist’s ‘Bad Day at the Office’ 1 minute short film competition.
The Life & Times of Robert Du Kay
A rubber duck leaves the familiarity of his bathtub homeland to go and live in the ‘big wide pond’.
An unlucky soul cannot catch a break, trying to make a cup of tea.
An original piano composition where I also filmed some accompanying shots of rainfall.
An original piano composition written and performed by myself.
Improvising on my piano in May 2016.
